The Impact of Thermal Stress on Immunology and Physiology of Barramundi

Determining how the type of cold stress (chronic vs dirunal) affects the immunological and physiological performance of *Lates calcarifer*.

Project Overview (and PhD Embargo)

Does chronic cold stress affect fish in the same manner as diurnal cold stress? To answer this question, I conducted a trial in which juvenile barramundi were reared either at optimum temperature (30°C), chronic cold stress (22°C, constant), or diurnal cold stress (22-30°C, fluctuating). Immunological, physiological and growth performance were measured throughout the trial.

This research project forms the foundation of one of my three experimental chapters in my PhD thesis. As my thesis is currently under review, and I am awaiting my viva, I cannot publish research results here at present. However, I will update this project page with more details once my doctorate is conferred and a manuscript of this experiment is submitted. In the meantime, if you are interested in learning more about this project, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly.
